Winner of International Violin Competition
Anna Egholm receives 1st prize at the international violin competition Concours International de Violon d'Avignon "Ginette Neveu". Alongside the 1st prize Anna was also given the Audience Award.
The competition was first held in the year 2000 to commemorate Ginette Neveu, the great violinist who died in a plane crash at the age of 30 in 1949.
It is the first time that a violinist from Denmark has been awarded a prize from the competition. The nationalities of the other participants were Japanese, South Korean, Brazilian, German, Swiss and French.
