Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition

Anna Egholm is awarded 3rd prize at the 2019 Carl Nielsen Internation Violin Competition.

The competition, which was held in Nielsen’s hometown of Odense, Denmark, featured 24 candidates from 1 1 different countries. It was first held in 1980, and is now one of the most demanding and rewarding competitions for violin, flute and clarinet players.

Anna also received the award for the best performance of the compulsory contemporary work, written by British composer Sally Beamish, and the Junior Jury’s award.
